“STARZ PROJECT FASHION”

COURSE

Fridays 10:00a.m.-12:00noon - Adult Class

Thursdays 4:30-6:30p.m.- ages 10-18

(Student limit in each class:4)

Do you ever dream of becoming a fashion designer?

It’s time to learn how to sew!!

This is a program that will teach sewing skills that will benefit you for a lifetime.

You’ll learn sewing machine basics, seam finishing techniques, and learn how to work with a store-bought pattern.

You’ll make your own garments that will look great both inside and out.

We focus on teaching top notch sewing skills while making fashions that you’re proud to call your own.

PROJECTS: Make your very own fashions!

Choose from several patterns – plus a fabulous variety of fabrics to select from.

SKILLS & TECHNIQUES:

Sewing-machine basics (sewing machines provided).
Tools and terminology
Stitches & seam finishing
Preparing, marking, and cutting fabric
Reading a commercial pattern
Working with interfacing
Sewing a garment that fits including adjusting the size and sewing darts
Hemming a garment properly

FabricS. THread, PATTERNs, & OTHER NECESSARY ITEMS: Included in SUPPLY FEE (Includes patterns, fabrics, thread, notions & trims. Use of sewing machines fabric scissors, and all other accessories needed are provided for classtime use.)

Course duration: Two hours once a week for eight weeks – on Thursday evenings from 4:30 - 6:30p.m. at our home studio / workshop location – 116 Mahood Avenue, Princeton, WV.

PREREQUISITE: Only the desire to learn how to sew!

REGISTRATION IS COMPLETE UPON PAYMENT OF TUITION & SUPPLY FEE.

CLASS / WORKSHOP TUITION: $225.00 plus sales tax (16 hours of class / workshop time )

SUPPLY FEE: $75.00 plus sales tax (includes fabrics, thread, trim, notions, and use of sewing machines & accessories)
